Discussions

"Can you get my green froggy boot off for me please?" ... the first of many very long sentences Mya has said lately. This was last night, when in fact she had put on one foot a red house shoe, which she called her soft shoe, and the other foot she some how managed to get on (the wrong foot in fact) one of her froggy rain boots. That sucker was tough to get off! Anyway, it was a shocker.

She has been putting together a full string of thoughts lately. Like when we got into a discussion (weird but true, but I know she is still a 2 year old after all) over the cars. Usually mommy drives the Camry to work, since the advantage is gas mileage. This leaves daddy with the Explorer and all its amenities since he primarily taxies Mya. So, all summer she has been asking, "where's your car Mommy?" This because we've swapped vehicles.

The other day, both cars were in the car port when we went down stairs, so Mya turned to me and asked very politely, "Your car or Daddy's car? Which one are we gonna take today, Mommy?" She held out her hands by her shoulders, leaned her head over and said, "Which one?" I was shocked then as well. Is she old enough to understand how to use the word which? Apparently, because she did.

  1. Of course she understands :) My niece is brilliant! It will be so fun to see what is going on in her little mind as she puts more and more complex sentences together :)
